Shades of Noir

Shades of Noir is an organisation that promotes diversity and inclusion with Higher Education.
They support and encourage discussion around issues that People of Colour face within the
Arts communities.

As a design developer, my primary role is designing the Terms of Reference (ToR) Journals

These journals contain a multiplicity of voices, intersectional perspectives and modes of communications, acknowledging global research centres and institutions within each publication.

This ToR engages in a discussion of how to better centre the lens of intersectionality and critical race discourse with disability justice and activism.

Inclusive Practice: Alchemy - Transformation in Social
Justice Teaching.  

 

The Inclusive Teaching & Learning Unit was developed in 2011 by Aisha Richards and Terry Finnigan. This publication honours the many Graduates of this Unit and presents the opportunity to share practice, offer reflection and discuss opportunities in the areas of social justice pedagogy.

The Three ‘ism’s: Negotiating Race, Sex & Class.

This ToR will focus particularly will begin to engage in a discussion of race, sex (gender) and class as fundamentally overlapping elements within a singular system of social power rooted in colonialism.
